I have this F700 truck I bought and it is running on propane.
It appears to be hooked up the gas tank as well.
Since I have never had a dual fuel truck before I was just wondering
how do you switch from propane to gasoline and vise versa.
There does not appear to be a switch anywhere.
can anyone let me know how this type of system works since I think
the timing has to be changed also if I remember right

There might be a dual curve distributor like box sitting somewhere, looking MAYBE like a tin of altoids or two in size, shape, and color....

I just got a dedicated LPG 1997 F-700 last weekend with a 429. I ran out of the propane and was forced to convert back to gas on the spot for $300 in parts.

 

Mine is a 1995 F-700 with a 429
there has been a couple times when It just would not start so I want to be able to switch it back to gasoline when this happens and also propane dealers are rare where I am so being able to change it back and fourth would be great.

What parts were involved in changing back to gasoline?

 

If you will send me a digital picture of the motor's lp equipment I can probaly tell you what to remove. If it has a dual curve on it you will have to remove it also and re-set the base timing. I have not seen to many 429's on dual fuel due to air flow issues.
