Does anybody know who made this?

Does anybody know who makes this? I found it on a government auction website. Every few months or so a couple come up for sale rather cheaply, problem is they are way over in bastrop, tx. If this is the wrong forum, sorry mods. I only post here becuase this is made primarily for the full-size trucks.

How much do they usually sell for? It lookslike it would drop in a pick up box? If the deals right have it shipped.

Depends where he is.. If its within a decent range I'll gladly deliver it.. That I don't mind, I'll just charge for my fuel.. Which is helluva lot less then other freight companies LOL.. They charge for maintenance, fuel, driver, food, certain change per mile, etc...

They are at the Federal Prison in Bastrop. You can view the sale at gsaauctions.gov, then go to texas auctions. Most of the time they sell for around $800 or so, which is the price of a single weatherguard toolbox. I don't know if the inmates make them to keep themselves busy, or what. I wouldn't mind a road trip to bastrop, it is just that work is so busy right now that I would have trouble getting off during the week to go and get it.

So maybe get one of the guys in Austin to pick it up during the week for you and make your roadtrip on a weekend.

Ratz, according to my measurements the box's listed will probably fit a ford, but only a SWB truck and the one this would go in would be LWB. I do know that LWB versions have been sold at this location in the past though. So far this year they have sold around ten and there have been a few LWB ford ones come through. Thanks to STORM and TNT for the offers of assistance. I may take you up on it if box that is a closer fit comes through in the future. I would still like to track down the original builder to see about getting a set that is a perfect match. I have seen them somewhere, I just cant seem to find the dogone link!!!!
