After idleing for around 5 minutes my 2004 F150 died. I tried to restart and the battery seemed totally dead. There was a "ticking" noise coming from somewhere behind the cab even with the key turned off.
I put in a new battery and now, after starting the engine it now dies again after a minute of so when the purge valve comes on. I can here a vacum leak just as it dies. If I unplug the purge valve it runs fine. The altenator is charging.
