I just found out that my dad and I are going to NAIAS (north american international autoshow). I am so happy. Has anybody else ever been there, what are other good things to do in Detroit, good restruants, and is it actually worth it?

Great bunch of people!... they should be able to help with local attractions.
Yup, theres plenty to do in the area. You could even pop over the border and visit us in the "Great White North". As for the auto show I've been there the past two years and it was great and worth it for me because I'm so close. My best advice to you is figure out what you want to see the most and then show up early (I.E as soon as doors open) and go do that FIRST. If you just wander around by the time you see something that really intrests you there will be soooooo many people it'll be hard to get up close.
that show is in cobo usually in janauary, plenty to do here, like dodge potholes on the roads, blow your cash at the casinos, greektown, and get tix to a wings game, they are cheap this year.......just a tip, look out on the roads as we like to drive nuts around here, ill be in a 02 fx4 so get outta my way
