I'm going to get to see the 09 F-150

I just found out that my dad and I are going to NAIAS (north american international autoshow). I am so happy. Has anybody else ever been there, what are other good things to do in Detroit, good restruants, and is it actually worth it?

You may want to get familiar with the Michigan Chapter guys (and gals) http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum85/
Great bunch of people!... they should be able to help with local attractions.

Yup, theres plenty to do in the area. You could even pop over the border and visit us in the "Great White North". As for the auto show I've been there the past two years and it was great and worth it for me because I'm so close. My best advice to you is figure out what you want to see the most and then show up early (I.E as soon as doors open) and go do that FIRST. If you just wander around by the time you see something that really intrests you there will be soooooo many people it'll be hard to get up close.

do you have to get tickets, or do you just show up at the door?
Never been to the NAIA, but would love to go.

No scalped tickets are needed.

Tickets are readily available for purchase in advance as well as at the show.

More information on the show can be found at the link. The webpage will update with more information as the show date comes closer.
