Well, I know there is a PCV valve on the RH valve cover, because I changed it! My manual refers to the one (?) on the LH cover as " the crankcase ventilation tube (6758)" ......doesn't call it a PCV valve like it says on the RH valve cover.

There is only one in the passenger side valvecover. The drivers side just has a breather hose that connects to the air intake to draw in filtered air.

Ok will pick one up today on the way out of town.Just change to 410 gears and guess the increase in rpm may have something to do with it as well.Just thought about that now
thanks again

It helps to install water separators on both lines, they will catch all the oil that those lines suck up and keep it from going into the TB. Won't help the oil usage but keeps the intake a bit cleaner. Simple air compressor in line separators are all you need. My guess is, however, that you just have good old blow by and it will use oil no matter what. Mine has used about 1qt/1500 miles for about 5 years and 150K miles.
