6R Transmission

The 6r transmission seems to be the way of the future for some vehicles, but does anyone know what they are mated to? The 6r60 seems to be on the V6 or small V8s, while the 6r75 should be on the larger V8s like the 5.4 (and I would think the 5.8 whenever that comes out).

Yet I'm seeing some stuff about a 6r80 here and there???

What gives? Does anyone know what's-on-what? Ford stuff just says, "6r". Click the image to open in full size.
