Dayton Timberline MT or Maxxis Bighorns

Well I had my new tires all picked out, and then someone else told me about the daytons that they love! I'm not sure if anyone has expierence with either of these tires, but if you do please give me some feed back. I mainly will be using these for plowing, but I also need to be able to get around in the mud! Thanks in advance.

I put a set of the Dayton MT's on my company work truck, since we're a Survey company we tend to get back into a lot of places where most never see. I've only got about 10,000 on them so I dont know how they're going to last, but I can tell ya that they are good at cleaning themselves out and are E rated.

I had Dayton Timberline AT on my old 94 F-150. They were very good. They were load E and hard as a rock. Which was great for tread wear (got 55,000 out of them). But rode a little rough on county roads. (75psi)

I would guess that the MT would have a little softer rubber compound.

All in all Dayton makes a decent tire.

But if you read a thread that was on here a day or 2 ago about Load E tires you will find some other good info. They are talking about winter traction.

Most people on there are reccomending BFG's or Toyos.

It depends on if you want looks or performance. If you are snow plowing you may want a AT tire instead of a MT tire.

Goodyear Silent Armour - Excellent AT Tire
Toyo MT - Excellent MT Tire
Just my opionion here.
I am running Nitto Terra Grappler AT. So far I love them a lot more than any BFG I have run. They are excellent in mud not sure about snow yet, I will let you know in a couple of months.
