I have a 95 ranger with a 94 motor, it is a 3.0 v6 and live in southern california. on any given day after my truck has cooled down it has trouble starting. i either crank it for about 5 seconds to get it to start, or i turn to start, turn off, and turn to start again it will start. i have tried turning the key to run, back to off, to run, then start it to try to build up fuel pressure, but it dosnt do anything. this is a really annoying prob please help!!

 

sounds like your fuel pump is on it's way out... and/or there is some blockage. have you changed out the fuel filter?

 

I have changed the fuel filter recently, when i turn the truck to run, it "purges" for about three seconds, and no matter how many times i turn it off, and back on to let it purge again, it still does it for three seconds, and does not change the hard starting
