Well thats my point though...there were only 3,300 ever made from all of 73-79.
There were most likely more Super Cab 350's made from 73-79 than Super Camper Special 350's made at all.

If your looking for the rarest and hence the truck with the lowest # made...you cant just look at one single year of production...and not only that the question was concerning the 73-79 span.

So my vote is still for the Super Camper specials...of course that still ignores those trucks with the funky VIN #'s that seem to be cropping up.

I Thought going in you new that the 79 4wd f350 SC was only made one year and that year was 1979.So less than 3000 ---ever-- made. Now knowing that do U agree with me ?

I knew that...however youre still missing my point...there were still 350 Supercabs being produced earlier than just 79 allbeit 2 wd...they were still there...
Still a matter of how you see thigns and like I said Im certain that Bill or Dennis will chime in on exactly how many were made.

I guess we'll just have to agree to diagree. The way I see it the things that make a SCS (badging, whl base,GVW,spare tire,etc....) different than a regular CS is much less than differentiatiating between a 2 wd and a 4wd trk

I'll go with the F350 Super Camper Special... I have one... its beat pretty hard, but it towed a 22,000 lb pellet mill for most of its 336,000 mile life.

Didn't want to bring this up again, but what about the truck discussed about in these threads. If in fact these trucks are factory.

The F-130 remains a mystery, as the original OP and others that have these Warranty Plate marked body/series codes were unable to find out much of anything.

I hate to argue the point, but while the Super Camper Special emblems were dropped after 1976, the parts catalog still makes reference to 1977 thru 1979 versions.

The Standard Catalog of Ford Light Duty Trucks (krause.com) gives the following 1974 F350 production numbers: Cowl and Chassis = 144; Cab and Chassis = 48,812; Platform and Rack = 7,546; Cab Platform = 786; Super Cab = 1,340; Styleside Pickup: 9,929.

At a glance: Jacked-up, wrong wheels, droopy exhaust, El Cheapo repaint, missing tailgate trim, tailgate doesn't fit correctly, altered floor shifter.

$8950.00? Someone has dreams of grandeur.

Warranty Plate Paint code is MN

M = Wimbledon White / N = Maroon

DT4 is the interior trim code: XLT & Lariat = DT: Sand all Vinyl / 4 = Styleside with a Bench Seat

The rear axle should be a Dana 70, not a 60. 60's used in F250's, 70's in F350's.

Truck was built in San Jose CA (R code in VIN), and sold out of the Los Angeles Zone (DSO: 71)

Oh F350, where have you been since 1979?

The CA license plates are very recent, only a few weeks old.

Patrick...
Ya dont have to tell me...if you re-read those youll see that I'm still not sure of that myself. However...repeatability usually means it isnt an isolated case...and that means that in some way shape or form they have to be factory of some kind.

They were most likely made by Ford...we just dont know what exactly they are haha.

Bill, I see the M as the 2nd paint code which was usually the order they stamped it.

To me, The first digit looks like an H or K .

Maybe you're squinting too much

Try as I might, I can't make out an M as the second paint code.

I see N as the second code, M as the first.

I don't need glasses to read, and the laptop has a 17" screen.

The seller should have used the same effort (cleaning) on that Warranty Plate, as he did in his superlative descriptions describing what I consider at best a so-so condition pickup.
