Bearing Problems w/ the 4.6 engine
Well, I find it rather interesting that I've posted this twice on your site, seen it up on the board, only to have it deleted by someone on that end the next day What's up with that guys????
Anyway, to the meat of things. I got a feeling that Ford is going to have to start a silent recal on the 4.6 in the future. My engine in my 97' F150 has crashed with bad bearings after only 45K miles. And you could drink my oil I kept it so clean. Two others in the Ford shop here as we speak. One in a Mustang, the other a van...both with the same problem. That was $5K out of my pocket and I don't like it Now I'm hearing about a couple in another county...so...anybody hear of the same problem? Let me know...

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-May-02 AT 00:05 AM (EST)]Truckin2 you need to talk to the moderator if you feel you are being bumped. Sounds like you not posting in the correct fashion.
With that said, I have heard of zero problems with the bearings on the 4.6. Sounds like something is not quite right here. My 4.6 has 170,000 on it. My wife drives mostly it but when I drive it I max it out.
