6637 heat sheild

I did the 6637 mod recently and love it but think i may need to make a heat sheild to go around it as it get warm/hot to touch after running the truck. Has anyone done this?

It is a high pressure oil crossover line that insures HP oil is the same on both heads. I just got a little throttle response. I am just doing stuff like that getting ready for the big mods, ie: injectors. That is where it helps most.

I made one out of metal laying around the house (click here). I sprayed it with some heat and noise bedliner type stuff that was like $8 for the can. Sure its not as nice as the afe but that system costs over 300 bones

IMHO you dont need it, I have read that the differences in temperature inside of the shield and in the motor compartment is not significative, and you also restrict a bit the air flow. just my .02 cents.

Nice and clean. Looks professional. They say imitation is the best form of compliment. I am going to copy your design.

Reps taken care of. I want to find a small scoop for the hood to supply clean air for my AFE.

Neal I have been brain storming just that! Haven't figured out a good way that will look right yet.
