Netfly is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.Netfly is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
4180 is like a 4160 except it has idle screws on the secondaries too. This helps prevent stalling. It isn't hard to rebuild, but it sounds like you have a linkage problem. I'd start by checking the accelerator pedal and linkage for sticking.

reason i asked.
this happened ot me on my 67 gt500
has two holly's
hammered it down one day and was really moving then took foot off and nothing chnaged.
reached down and and pulled up pedal and then it was over.
really cleaned them up and had no more trouble with it.
butterflies were way gummed up...
were sticking past a certain level.

That may be the problem. It had set up a while. So the question is, cheap way, rebuild, truck avenger 670 or holley 600??
