Engine Rebuild

Does anyone know of an engine rebuilder in the San Diego area, maybe even North County, that can convert a 360 to a 390 and do the oiling modifications. Also one that is honest so I don't get screwed.

I don't know that area, but I'd look for a race engine builder. I would talk to the machinist and see if they look at you funny when you start talking about the oiling mods. If they do, go elsewhere. I've had good luck with speed shops and race engine builders, they seem to understand the FE better and sometimes older shops know the FE better. The FE has a big race history back in the 60-70's but a lot of shops today just understand 5.0 and Honda.
