Hey T...welcome to FTE... ...you'll find a lot of great stuff around here. King Ranch leather...it does wear differently than the regular leather...find a 2-3 year old used one and check that out. I've never heard any complaints about comfort...I know a few folks who own them and are very happy campers!!!
I had a King Ranch F-150. The leather is very thick. Nothing like what is in the the Eddie Bauer, or Limited. The entire seat is leather, as opposed to just the panels your butt sits on. The downside is that the leather will never look as good as you first got it. The sun fades the leather differently. You have to use special conditioners frequently and the leather is not sealed-meaning if you spill something on them, coke, etc, it will soak up into the leather. Unless you really like the look of it, IMO, it's not worth the price or upkeep. Like BIGKEN said, look on ebay for 2-5 year old King Ranch trucks and look at the seats.
My F-350 was a KR and I loved the seats. I never had any issues with the up-keep. I would advise tinted windows. I wish I had waited for the 08 to get a KR Expedition. Just keep them conditioned and you will like them.
