Larger tank levels?
For those who have installed larger tanks....are you finding that the computer accurately recalibrates the amount in the tank as you have driven thru the fuel? I noticed some worries about having to recalibrate the computer. But also noticed one person post about not having to do anything other than put in your monthly paycheck to fill up.

Seems like a lot of this think a 30 gallon tank is a little SMALL for a big truck like this. Wonder why they put such a small one in this truck?
Anyone put the protective shield on?
(Mine reads 400+ to empty after the first fill- haven't driven it much yet so the gauge hasn't moved yet...)

Another fuel tank question...
I'm gathering the millage countdown may be off with a titan tank. How about the fuel gauage accuracy? Is the guage reading about right for what you have left? When it reads half a tank...can you then put in 25 gallons on a 50 gallon tank? I don't think i'd care too much about the distance to empty, but really concerned that i run out when its reading higher than whats really in the tank.

I sent Titan an email about the shield. The responded and said the shield for a 60 gallon tank is $96.00 and can be shipped with the tank. I too plan on getting the tank. Only getting 13.5 unloaded and 5-7.5 towing 11,000. Great post with pictures...

With the 52 gallon Titan under my SWB SCC, it seems to be room for another foot and half toward the front and there would seemingly plenty of cleareance for filter changes, but I guess that are reasons for not using this space. Just my 2cents.

Driving now with the first fill with the Titan Tank- at first it said around 400 miles to empty- with 170 miles since filling, the gauge has barely moved and now it says 420 miles to empty, after 170 miles! Checked the straps tonight and everything is nice and tight. LOVE the extra range and will really appreciate this weekend with our tow to the first race of the season...

Mine hit 500+ a couple of times last year on a trip to Arizona on the small factory tank. Oh yea, we weren't towing any thing.
