Well, for a few days anyways, going to head over to Santa Rosa for the "big" horse show of the year for my 12YO...heading out early in the morning.

Should see ya'll Sunday or Monday...bet yer's all happy you get a break from me..I know the wiff would be....

 

Ok, ok, so how did she do? Another 1st place?

 

lol, no, no first...she did get 4th overall. Pretty stiff competition, coupled with her only riding twice a week lately...so both her and the horse were a bit out of shape.

Just a tough time of the year for her, starting the 7th grade, etc...made it tough to keep practicing like she did all summer (4-5 days a week).

However, her trainer won Grand Champion in the open division and another young lady won Reserve Cham,pion (from the same stables) in the Open Division.

Also, one of her riding mates in the 13-17 Year old division won Grand Champion as well...all in all it was a good day with lots of Blue Ribbons and awards for folks and kids we knew.

 

Nice, at least it went to someone you know. She'll get them next time.
