I buy in bulk for myself and several others so I can get the discounts at dieselfiltersonline.

 

NAPA has the tranny filter for like $20.

 

Dieselfiltersonline used to have the transmission filters for 16.95. They went up to 19.09 for some reason. O Reily's has it for 15.99. Even w/ 8% tax, no reason to buy on-line for this filter.

Maybe Dieselfiltersonline reps can try to get the prices lowered. Between the specials on oil filters at Pep Boys, Auto parts stores prices for the transmission filters, and IH Dealership price for Fuel filter set of $30.69, the air filter was all I bought from them last time. I have supplied all the guys I work w/ air filters now - they can last 50M miles or more, so no more purchases from me for awhile.

 

Try Ebay I purchased my air filter (FA1778) for $29.99 shipped. All filters are sold there for really cheap.

 

Is this for the "White" Cellulose media or the "Blue" Synthetic media?

 

This is for the Blue Synthetic, I only buy this type. Yea I purchased a few because this is a give away deal..

 

I have been keeping my eye on eBay and no such deals for the blue. maybe not looking in the right place?

There are no IH part numbers for the Air Filter as IH does not use this filter assembly in their medium duty truck applications with this motor.

There is no coolant filter on your 6.0 SD from the factory.

That is correct, IH does not have the trans filter.

FYI there are several manufactures that make the external bypass trans filter. Wix and others just find the best price and you are good to go on the external trans filter.
