I don't hang around here much, but I'm in Maryland about 45 minutes from Cecil Co Dragway. The ford-trucks.com guys just had a MnG at the track last Friday night. We had about 8 trucks there. We won't be able to make it on the 10th because we will be in Winston-Salem, NC for a big meet that has people even coming from OR, CA, OK, IL, ME, LA & FL. It should be a blast! All in all we are expecting over 60 people.
We will be at the track Saturday, October 27, 2007 with about 10 trucks for the test & tune. We're meeting up at the Waffle House for breakfast at 7:30 and then heading over to the track. I will keep a watch out and see if we can't get the two groups together at the track in the spring. The ricers hate it when we have a bunch of 13 & 14 second trucks running!
No, it's not that show. One of the members over at the .org owns a truck shop and he put together a meet n greet that turned into a large scale event. They even have a dyno lined up. They got all sorts of vendors to donate door prizes and competition prizes. We are now expecting around 70 members from around the country and 400-500 local people to be in attendance.
If it weren't for that one, I would come up to your track meet. Maybe in the spring!

Yes we were rained out. I don't know if we could have salvaged the afternoon session or not, but we called it this morning when it was still raining cats and dogs. Unfortunately I can't make it on the 10th as I will be in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for the big Powerstroke meet. We have over 70 people from the forum right now and they expect several hundred locals on top of that. It's going to be a great day with show & shine, dyno and several contests. They have a ton of door prizes lined up along with some pretty hefty prizes for the dyno and S&S competitions.
What kind of bragging rights is the 6.0 running for? I guess I should say what is he running against? I know our group has some relatively stock 6.0s running in the upper 13 second range. The new 6.4 will run low 14s with tuning. I am interested to hear what he runs and what he has done to it.
Hopefully you guys will have better weather than we did today!
i will check my schedule tonight and let you know, i would like to go, i am hoping for 17's out of mine........
Can I assume you are stock? What configuration is your truck and what size tires do you have. You may be surprised what a stock 6.0 will run. A good 7.3 should be in the 17s. I don't have a thing for pounding my truck time after time to shave a tenth or two, but it is pretty cool to return to the staging area after a good run and hear all the people's comments as you go by the crowd at the starting line area! There's something about a 14 second crewcab 4wd that surprises people beyond belief.
