Strange Vibration

Well guys i dont know whats going on but my 1993 F150 is acting strange i just recently put in a K&N air filter in the stock box and now ever since one day its like a dang hot rod the whole truck vibrates not so bad its still drivable but the vibration is noticeable and annoyingly bad enough from time to time

Not all the time but sometimes even when at a red light it does it sounds like it runs good still just acting weird vibrates at any speed and idle but sometimes it does and others it doesnt and my rpm guage is all over the place at 90km a hour the rpms are below 2000 but now they are at 2000 and its whacky

Can someone help me i dont know what would be wrong its somewhere in the engine i think im sure last year before i bought it the previous owner got a tune up and for surely he said he got a new timing chain

Thanks

first thing I'd do, is throw that K&N squirrel trap in the trash...

could the intake hose be hitting or rubbing on anything?
how about the lid of the airbox?

If over oiled, the oil in those filters can mess with sensors in the intake system.
