Just Added 8 new pics in my Gallery. Take a look!

The pics I added are of my 1951 F1 and my dad's 1955 Fairlane 2 door hard top. We had a great time at the cruise in last weekend. I really just wanted to show you guys my dad's car. He bought it in 1979 from the Original owner. She was a school teacher here where we live and she passed away a few months ago in a nursing home. I believe she was 96 yrs old and he drove it to the nursing home and they brought her out to she the car. She was my dad's nieghbor when he was a kid. She new he would take care of the car when he bought it from her. They brought her out in a wheel chair and she just set there with a big smile on her face and just cryied and thanked my dad for letting her see it and for taking good care of the car. I know there was alot of memories going through her mind at the time. But the car is all original except for one repaint 3 yrs ago which it really didn't need but the Mountain Green was faded so he had the whole car done. The Snow Shoe white really didn't need it but he had it done anyway. 2 more things that are not original are the tire's and he had to have the rear bumper and guards rechromed. Other than that the car is the way it was in 1955. It had 66,320 miles on it when he bought it in 79 and I believe it has alittle over 67,000 on it now. The car runs and drive's like you wouldn't believe. I drove it home from the cruise inn and ran it at 65 to 70 mph and it just floated down the road. Don't get me wrong we did have to rebuild the carb and put a new fuel pump on it but that is all that has ben done to the motor. It is a 272 Y-Block, auto trans and it runs like a dream. All the trim on the car is stainless except the back bumper. I don't know why but that is the way it come. I know this is a truck site but I just wanted to show my dad's car off a bit. He is very proud of it and everytime he gets in it I know he feels 20 to 30trs younger b/c you can just see it in his face. Hope you guys enjoy the pics and I'll try to put some more up to date pics of my truck in there in a couple of days.

A very sweet ride, I`d love to have this one.
Your dad is very lucky to have it and I`m glad he`s taking such great care of it, it`s an awesome keeper.

What a gorgeous old Ford. The only thing better is a gorgeous old Ford with a story behind it.

Scott,
Nice looking '55. I always liked the '57 custom 300's. Wished I could track one down in decent shape to rebuild.

Bruce,
There was a guy there who told me about a 57 fairlane that was 4 sale. He said it was a 2 door sedan but with the window's rolled up it looked like a 2 door hard top. Is that what you are talking about as far as a 300 custom. If it is I could try to find out somemore info on the car.
