We currently have just over 6,000 miles on our '08 F450 and I have started hearing some type of warning (?) chime. I looked in the owners manaul but found no help. Has any one else come across this?

 

Does your instrument pannel show anything? I don't know of any WARNING chimes that don't show A warning light. Should call your dealer!

 

if you dont have your seatbelt on it will chime intermittently until you snap and unsnap ur belt or program it not to chime with key and several snap and unsnap motions. did you have battery disconnected? it could of cancelled your your seatbelt chime(mute) did i say that right?how often does it chime?does the chime sound like your reverse sensor if equipped? speck of dirt on the sensor?hey......on page17 of my f350 dually drw has a chime page its very close to the page wher they explain what ur red warning ligts mean...it has several but this prob pertains to u.PARKING BRAKE ON CHIME...TURN SIGNAL CHIME..chimes if u go more than 2 miles with turn sig on MESSAGE CENTER ACTIVATION CHIME chimes when some warning message appears in the message center for the first time....OVERSPEED CHIME IF EQUIPPED chimes @75 mph or higher.....AIR BAG SECONDARY WARNING CHIME... sounds to inform driver their is a problem with ur supplemental reastraint system and the red warning light is not working properly.....thats all i have let me know now im curious.....chuck

 

Thanks guys for your input. I think we have it figured out. And boy do I feel dumb. Turns out the "chime" was not coming from the truck at all. It was coming from the wife's brand new cell phone. Color me red.
