Catalytic Converters and "Y" pipe needed

I am in the process of installing a new engine in my 97 ford f-150 2wd 4.2. Do to heavy oil consumption the previous owner removed one converter that was plugged. One or both on the other side appear to be almost plugged. The price of new ones is terrible. What are my options please.
Thanks for your help!
Chris

Chris,
I can't cite a specific source, but about 4 years ago, this came up and I do remember several sources were found for aftermarket Cat Converters.

You could try the FTE sponsors list to see if any of them could help.
Other than that, I'd use Google.

Thanks I'll be looking. Maybe some one will jump in here with some info. I don't want to mess up my warranty. This is a Ford reman. engine.

Try Wundercarparts on ebay.My brother and I just replaced ours on our trucks. He has a 98 4.2. The cats and pipes are very nice.Manufacturer was car-sound.They are high flow cats and fit very nicely on both trucks.Price was not bad, about 370 for both sides if I remember right for his truck. Includes both sides which you have to buy seperatly. Those pipes each have a cat an pre- cat. Shipping was also fairly quick.5 days from order to door.
