Performer RPM
I just ordered the Performer RPM from summit and according to ups the intake with box and all weighs 29 lbs. Thats light!! The last time I changed the 2bbl manifold gaskets it took three people to get it on without messing up the gaskets. I will be able to put this one on single handedly.

That’s one nice thing about the FE intake, it’s also part of the heads too. Going from an iron intake to aluminum really cuts down on the weight compared to other engines.
I used the end gaskets instead of the bead of silicone on my Performer, sealed great with just the right amount of crush. Have seen some people put dimples along the front and back rails of the block to give the gaskets some extra “bite” so they don’t squeeze out.

I as well have a performer intake on my 390. Its a good intake. I followed the directions with the intake not to install those front and rear gaskets. That was a mistake. I have been rebuilding the truck from the ground up and decided to reseal the top end of the engine. This time I installed those end gaskets. I haven't fired the engine yet I'm keeping my fingers crossed when I do.
