Recently serviced my entire cooling system, flushed, allsystem hoses replaced including heater hoses, added new green anti-freeze mixed 50/50 with distilled water and added Fords system conditioner to prevent cavitation.

This was fairly expensive so I want to stay on top of it by checking the SCA level periodically. Napa sells the test strips but they come in packages of fifty (50) for $20.00 + tax. If I checked my system quarterly I would have enough strips for twelve (12) years. Do to the fact that I'm older than dirt now I will probably be used up before the strips are.

So.......does anyone know where to obtain these strips in smaller quanities, like maybe a dozen or so?

I bought a pack of 4, Fleetguard for $5.95 plus a little shipping at one of the site sponsers, Geno's Garage. Very quick turn around.

 

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the strips have an expiration date. After that I don't think they are accurate.

 

Thanks for the reply Rusty. I didn't know they had an expiration date. I was pretty sure that I would never use 50 of those puppys. I'll give Geno's garage a call.
