Unhappy 302 swap out to 351

I have a 94 F150 4wd with a 302 5 speed want to know if a 90's era 351 will bolt up to my bellhouseing or not or would it not be advisable

Any 351w will bolt up. I have a 351 combined with a M5OD (which is what I am assuming you have) and haven't had any problems.

Thank you I didnt know if you could do it or not and yes it is a M5OD just wondering how much more tourgh and power it would have over the 302 .
This truck is used to pull gumbo mud and a 16 ft trailer with a 3600 ford tractor during the fall hunting seasons it is running 255/85/16 Dunlop MT's wich seem to be a good combo and it has 4.11 gears.

dont use that tranny then. locate a zf 5 speed out of an f250/f350 running a 302 or 5.8. for what your planning on using the truck that m5od wont hold up long. you can reuse the 302 wiring harness onto the 5.8 also the accessorys will swap over. you will need the upper/lower 5.8 intake, oil pan, water pump (new) and proper 5.8 flywheel with a 28oz imbalance.

I agree you should have a ZF considering the towing you would be doing. The light duty M5OD isn't intended for towing even without the torque of the 351. I noticed a huge power gain with the 351. The biggest difference is the torque but the 351 also has more power throughout the entire rpm range.

I have a 91 250 4X4 with an E4OD that slips when it's cold, and a tired 5.0. I want to start checking out the junk yards for a combo that will fit. I'd like a 351 MAF with an auto. What years and diff. trucks and trannys will fit. What would be great is some kind of cross reference book. Thanks for any help. The other option is to just try to rebuild the tranny myself. It would be my first.

12wyttenbach, you need to locate a dizzy for the 5.8 but from an 88-92 year. then you must take the cam gear off of the 95 distributor and have it put onto which ever distributor you get. this is because your 95 more then likely has a roller cam and needs that type of cam gear. I had to do this very same thing back when

The C6 came as a small bellhousing or big block bell. Small block C6s are harder to come by. (NOTE to 12wyttenbach. Im pretty sure your 302 and 351 are a different firing order, if you didnt know already.)
