where is the best place to get a rebuild kit for my 390

my 390 is done it has low compresion and burns oil i just want to put new standard rings in it give it a valve job and new main bearings seals and the like. Where is the cheapest place to get a basic rebuild kit.

where is the best place to get a rebuild kit for my 390

I'd start calling some of the local shops or JC Whitney or Kragen, they'll probably have to order them, but it's probably the cheapest.

where is the best place to get a rebuild kit for my 390

you may consider just trying your local NAPA and asking for the car 2v kit instead, ask for say a 1965 Galaxie with a 2 barrel and 3 speed automatic, it should give you a bit higher compression which will mean better gas milage...
