Thats alot of power for a half ton, I like it but by the time you price it out you are at the price of a 250 or 350. I don't think it would sell, unless it is made a cheaper option than in the super duty.

Someone had mentioned that engine option on another board. I think it was mis-typed and should've been 4.4 and not 6.4.

yeah, i would have to say they meant 4.4L.

i'd rather see the HP TQ numbers around 280 and 550. 350/650 is a lot of power for a 1/2 ton truck and is un-necessary. if you need that much power you should be getting a 3/4 ton truck or up.

What I heard was the 4.4 would have around 330 hp & 520 ftlb.

Thumbs down

If the F-150 gets the 6.4 (stupid in my way of thinking)...I'll pass as, I wanted a 1/2 ton that got some good diesel fuel economy. Not the piss-poor mpg of that 6.4

Also, the whole cab-off for repairs w/the F-250 is step in the WRONG direction, not back yard mechanice friendly at all!...

Forget about removing the cab making it not backyard mechanic friendly, have you actually seen the motor itself? Unless your backyard has the latest diagnostic equipment, no one is going to be doing much of anything on one of these. I understand that removing the cab is the easy part of servicing the 6.4. I mean, any truck that has 7 radiators/coolers is getting pretty complex.
