You know...its funny. I was at a cruise in Up in Missouri yesterday. There were 2 F1s. One was modernized pretty heavily and one was a pro street w/other brand drivetain.

There was a 55 and my 56. The 55 was put together with many brands of parts and was really rough (I have know the owner for several years).

Guess which one of the 4 ford trucks got the most attention by the crowd? Yep...my old multicolor (mostly) stock one.

The comments I heard (I don't hear well) was that they loved to see an original truck of that age. Some commented on how unique it was for it to still be what it was originally.

I have no issues with the ones that have everything changed (read my first post in this thread), but it was fun to see the looks and hear the comments.

Oh...the Y-block crossover exhaust was of interest to a lot of people also. That is pretty unique (Ok_weird!) too.

All in all...it was a fun trip.

Driving and owning a basically stock effie is somthing that most people will never understand or get to enjoy. I wanted a hotrod, but now that I have had the pleasure of owning this one...I don't want a hotrod anymore.

I resemble that remark, however that status is reserved just for the 48-60 Forum, and our Roadies & Groupies

Terry,

Wow, I go away for a few days to become one with the open road while blowing the dust off my bike and I missed out on the cookies.

I would gladly make a pilgramage to the barren wastelands of Texas to bow down before the Sage of the Word, the Professor of the Pen, the Master of the Manuscript, the one and only Himmelberg.

Just think of the insights that could be gained from speaking directly to the master..............

(when you dip your cookies in your frosties, dunk fast, don't let them soak.....this is very important or your frosty will get full of cookie sludge)

contentedly nibbling and sipping
Bobby

BTW I think Himmelberg kind of reminds me of Wilson on Home Improvement?? What do you guys think? When do we order more cookies??

Those cookies in my bad photo are at least 12 years old. Never opened the box. Probably just about ripe.....

“DARKSIDER”

One who is not bound by the constraints of OEM or opinions of others. One who strives to mold his visions and youthful thoughts of cool into his project. One who trudges forward with a plan despite the discouragement of others. One who thinks a walk though a local salvage yard is better than Christmas morning. One who is not trying to reproduce something that has been made before, but rather trying for a one of a kind creation. One of finds any color he chooses to be correct. One who can do and redo and sometime redo agin, too get the vision just right. One who accepts COTTIE BOBIN as a common mode of operation.

Welcome to the DARK SIDE The Cookies are GOOD……….

We Salute:
Heres too you Mr. Darksider and all Darksiders everywhere, for without you a old Ford truck would be just a new looking old Ford truck.
