Wanting to know max rpm with this cam. also timming info. both cam and dist. Thanks in advance for info.

did you try checking the crane website yet? it was too easy to find on it, just click the cam spec cards link and type in the cam number

I have cam card it shows 2000-5000 rpm. I have cam installed in my 390 and have had it to 6500rpm just wanting to know if anybody has same results.thanks

Did it still pull hard at 6500? You may be better off shifting a little lower. What kind of bottom end do you have in it. Have you modified the oiling system?

Was still pulling hard @6500 when i let out of it. too much rpm for block to last. bottom end is balanced arp rod bolts. cast pistons flat top. just wanted to see how many rpm before valve float still don't know. cam is retarded 2 deg.

1971 F250 cs
390 30over
3.73 locker rearend
750 holley perfomer intake 2" 4 hole spacer 1/2" nos plate
msd 7al-2

Cam Card says 6500 is where valve float will start... new springs probably will be higher but as they get worn in it'll probably drop some too

Thanks for the info. This is the 3rd cam i have tried this year. going to stay with this one for now. I thing i will put revlimiter on 5800 rpm shift lignt on 5300. should shift about 5500 rpm. im slow motor comes up fast on n2o.
