anyone know if these nylon screens ( socks ) on the fuel tank sending units can be replaced or is it better to just put a big inline filter in ?

 

ok it pulls off the fuel tank sending unit but i still dont see a part number to replace it with

 

You can ask at a parts store. You should be able to get one there. I know on the newer ones they come with the fuel pumps.

 

thanks , been there heard that ,,, what one wanted to sell me is the baggie off the newer electric fuel pump in the tank only to clamp it on the tube and hope it stays ?? no tanks ,,, i copper wired the old mesh screen on again . If i could have found some new mesh it would have made it simple to fix also but that also was impossible to find at a automotive store nowdays

 

Would have thought they would have had one. I haven't done one other than when I have replaced in tank pumps.
