idm mod?

Hey guys,
The PMS is yet again progressing (at a much faster rate!). Whats the general concensus on the BDP IDM mod. I'm probably going to order it this afternoon with some of the money from my core return on my stock turbo. Let me know what you guys think.

It would be a good addition to the mods you already have. It wil help throttle response and keep the injectors firing correctly at higher RPMS. It doesn't really add HP just makes what you already have run at peak performance. Here's alink to a DIY IDM mod. It's not for the faint of heart according to the author.

I got mine from BDP and love it. I drove over there and picked it up. They are nice people.

I saw LukeCline post recently somewhere else he gained 4 or 5 psi boost from it but he was pretty sure his IDM was on its way out. maybe he will chim in with his results.

Steve don't start again..please! I'm pretty sure Brandon doesn't want this thread closed too.

As Tim said, "but he was pretty sure his IDM was on its way out".
I gotta agree, if the IDM was on it's way out the boost would likely increase with a new one.

Ditto, Maybe he saw more boost is because of what you said steve, "...felt stronger at higher RPM's with the chip kicked in."

I don't think I had a boost increase but then again I didn't have gauges yet.

Thanks for all the input, guys. Hopefully I'll have it within the month and installed the minute UPS drops it off at my house! Trying to get all the supporting mods together to ensure this truck holds together for a while. I'll be looking for suggestions as to a good clutch to be done in the spring, also. And an intercooler, and some nitrous. I really need to stop spending money! You guys are bad for my checkbook! lol Thanks again.

Question

One question: I read that this mod increases the EGTs *75, is that true?
