Smile my 429

the engine is in my truck not running right now but will. a 429 with weiand stealth intake gaskets replaced, new timing chain, lifters and pushrods, and topped off with a road demon 725cfm carb. and breathing out of hoker competition headers. im so close to running it. i can wait its gonna be loud.

Sounds sweet! Im still building mine. Did you change ur cam and where did you get ur headers from? Sounds like it will be a lot of fun and it also sounds like its going to be loud (the only way to have it in my opinion).

well summit racing is the best place for most parts. no i havent touched the cam the rotating assembly supposedly had only 70,000 miles on it so if it aint broke dont fix it. what u putting it into?

I have a 89 F-150 xl 2wd that i thought a 429 should make a little more exciting to drive. I know im probably goin to miss the gas mileage of my 5.0 but the thought of the fun and uniqueness of the 429 will take care of that . The only problem i have is when i finally get her finished i want to find some long tubes to fit.
