im going to do a tuneup on my truck.what does your basic tuneup on these engines involve. what should be changed. i have a rough idle that just started.the truck has 62,000 on it all stock except for a k&n filter.

 

Start with spark plugs, Motorcraft, plug boots, plug wires, something that is better conductive than OEM and delivers a hotter spark. Clean the MAF sensor, clean the throttle body, put in some fuel injector cleaner, or better yet, use some Seafoam that you can find at AutoZone. You can find how to use Seafoam by searching this forum. As for your rought idle, could be because you got some oil from K&N on your MAF sensor, check the IAC valve with an ohmmeter, coudl be defective, could be a varity of other things.
