I really didn't put it on to quiet it down, but suprisingly, it DID decrease the engine noise in the cab. What I wanted was to better protect the underside of the hood from oil and any CRUD thrown up there. It's been well over a month and about 2000 miles....I'm glad I did it.

Were working on a dual color (black and green) Jeep. We applied black LINE-X with Xtra to the underside of the hood.

I used line-ex on my 72' bump, on the fire wall, tubbed the cab and both in and under the box. I have had no problems with it and it makes the truck easy to clean as well as it has reduced the in cab noise level.

In the Super Duty forum I posted about squirrels eating up my engine wiring harness. Ford had to replace it. Brought truck home today and read the Repair Order. They say the little buggers also damaged my hood liner I installed and had to replace it too.

Now this is the same dealer I tried to get a part number for the CORRECT F250 liner from a few months ago when I installed the one for a Lincoln Mark LT as the parts guy said there wasn't one for the 250! Whent back out to the truck and sure 'nuff. The RIGHT hood liner is in there!!! Invoice says the Ford P/N is: 3C3Z-16738-BD. They have price as $135.10. No modifications on this one, direct fit. Wonder why it's available now and it wasn't a few months ago???? Maybe the parts guy didn't know what he was doing???

To TruckDaddy, the jeep looks great, i'm thinking of doing my own tj real similar to that.
I just gotta kill the paint a little more first! I already have the inside done. Tell me how much material did you use on the outside?
