Can't remove fuel filter!

I'm using the metal sizzor tool to remove my fuel filter, but i can't get the rear line loose. Can the fuel removing plastic tool work better? I used wd 40 on the front line, it came off after doing that.

Maybe it's got dirt in the end so the sizzor removal tool wont work on the back end of the fuel filter. I can get the tool all the way in and the line moves back and forth, on the filter, but it wont unhook.

Any tips?

If you don't have a second tank up front, like me, it helps to pull the filter OUT of the retaining clip to get that back line off. Otherwise, the trick is to shove the filter and line together as hard as you can, insert the tool, the pull back on the tool as hard as you can.

We had a guy on here the other day that ripped his apart with no tool. I keep several different type tools on hand sometimes one will when the other wont. If all else fails put on a pair of gloves and pull like hell!

If you really get stuck you can always cut the nipple off of the stuck side of the filter (as close to the filter element as possible) and use a pair of pliers on the remaining piece stuck in the fuel line...
