94 150 302 to mustang 5.0L topend
I'm interested in switching top end of my 1994 F150 4x4 302 over to a mustang 5.0l top end. Has anyone ever done this? What would be involved? Will i be able to use my stock computer? or would i need a mustang computer? Would a mustang computer work with my harness, would it plug right in? Would i be able to just length my TPS wires to work on the mustang TPS sensor? What else am i forgetting?

I was goining to put edelbrock heads on it. But figured the mustang makes more power so would go with that syle intake manifold. Single throttle body instead of the dual throttle body. My truck is 4wd with the E4OD transmittion. I didn't think the heads were the same. Thought maybe the mustang heads would flow better. But thats good info. if there the same, thanks. How can i tell if my truck is mass air ? I would like to go this rount cause i found a supercharger for a mustang for a good price.

what applies to a mustang doesnt apply to a 4wd truck. if you build your truck with mustang parts your truck will not perform very well.
real question is what do you use your truck for? is it a mall crawler, weekend warrior or full time 4wheeler. do you have to commute long distances? Even with mass air in order to run an SC properly will still require a custom tuned chip

Both systems have their advantages and disadvantages.
As Kemicalburns pointed out to me before http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/ is a great place to read up on some info.
In a heavy vehicle like a truck, you are better off with the truck intake as it is better for torque, which you need.
