tow command

I am not the original poster of this thread, but do have issues.
I have been seeing more issues out of my Tow Command unit. I receive either Trailer Disconnect or a Trailer Fault warning with the loss of trailer brakes while this is happening. This is happening on my main Toy Hauler trailer that I tow a lot. I have also seen it happen on my flat bed car hauler. The flat bed has been towed by other vehicles without the Tow Command and it has been fine. I have checked wiring, cleaned plugs, grounds, etc without any help. I have researched this some and found it may actually be the magnets in the trailer brakes not liking the tow command system. If anyone has any help on this, it would be great. By the research I have done more then a few people have installed an aftermarket trailer brake box. I love the Tow Command when it is working correctly.

So, while there may be better options, it seems WD-40 is a decent choice.

Off topic, since it is highly flamable, it's also good for finding vacuum leaks on a gasoline engine. With the engine running, it you spray if over a suspected cracked vacuum line, the engine will rev when it sucks the WD-40 into the line. I've also used it to prove an intake manifold gasket was leaking on a gasoline engine.
