Right turn signal and reving

Alright, I have noticed it a few times before but tonight on my way home it did it everytime. When I turn on my right turn singal you can hear my engine rev up and then drop back down but the rev limiter shows no gain or loss. Any ideas?

Strange maybe it is the drain with the lights on. Or maybe you have gremlins. I have never heard this one. Someone will be here to help or give suggestions soon.

BTW Welcome to FTE, All your worries are over now. :-)

Its only the right trun singal? doesnt happen when you trun the lights on or the high beams or any other electronics? what about when you trun the steering wheel?

Is it possible to have some burnt wires in the column or something? Check your volt gauge next time your out and about. However, I'd think you'd be able to see any unusual rpm movement on the tach? Strange.

You can get a new multi-function switch at napa, it's not hard or expensive to do.

Neal, for the last time, gremlins are on gassers, widgets are in diesels. there is definatly one in custom's truck. he may be in the column as farm said, or he could be screwing with your grounds. definatly a first in my book and i have seen alot of weird things. the only other thing i can say to check is the multifunction switch. i have seen them do some funky things when they start to go internaly

Ya there has got to be something up with the switch. Do your wipers and all work? That switch really isnt hard to replace at all.

I don't known Coon. Widget just doesn't sound like a term I'd call this one. I think we should introduce the term goblin (a grotesque sprite or elf that is mischievous or malicious toward people).

I've also heard some pretty casey things that have happened with electrical systems. Anywhere from trailer brakes to CB's going out. I never had the column apart before but that switch might be a little bugger to get too.
