Shouldn't the Buletin read "97-2004 heritage models"? In 04 new body style they have the 3v motors, which you can't get the plugs out without breaking them off in the head. One extreme to the other.

Funny how they don't mention my 1996 4.6L in the t-bird, meanwhile it's the exact same motor as the one in my '97 Cougar - same heads, same everything (I checked).

Ford finally put 8 thread heads on the modulars in '03, although I have heard of a very few that have still spit even with those heads.

Yes the ticking noise, I heard it and didn't put 2 and 2 together
