got wheels ... thanks to bobj49f2

1st things 1st a fellow fte member turned me onto a 1970-1975 International Loadstar 1600 on ebay in New Jersey. That member was bobj49f2. I took his advice and looked at the auction. to my surprise the truck was selling for about $150 at the time. Needless to say i tried calling the seller for a week without any luck. I called my father who is an excavator locally and asked if i could use his truck if i won the auction he had me ask his foreman to drive the tanduem dump with 20 ton tagalong. i asked him and he seemed very excited about it... even though he normally isnt a huge fan of mine. so i wait and wait till the last 5 min and bid. To my surprise i won the auction for $255. i plan on going to get the truck next weekend draging it home, removing the wheels put the "widow makers" on the international and taking it to the scrap yard for cash. My local scrap yard is giving me $6 for every 100 lbs of truck. i figure ill make about 400 cash on the deal and have a new set of wheels!

oh yeah the wheels have 6 good tires
heres the auction:

Talking IH truck

Theres a fair bit of cash in that old international . That radiator is worth more selling it for scrap seperatly, that old IH 6CYL & drivetrain is hard to come by, advertise in the BINDER BULLITIN on line,. That dump bed is a farmers delite, theres always somebody hunting a old bed or dump truck to fix up. What i'm saying is don't take ffirst $$ that you see theres more out there. Good luck with your new wheels.

Have A Great Day--------- Hotwrench
