I have a 02 f-150 supercrew 4.6Lv8. i was thinking of buying a lighting but i may just make my truck the same a one. i know the lightings have superchargers but what else is in a lighting and not a stock 150. i also want to do a dual exhaust but would a catback be better? just looking for ideas. thanks.

A forged crank, a lower compression ratio for the blower, lowered slightly.
Any kit you buy will be a cat back, so that's the easiest route. I like my gibson kit, but when the aluminized pipes go, I will probably replace it with a Corsa system. It's all about the sound you want, you shouldn't feel a difference in power unless you go with too big of a pipe.

You can't make your Screw the same as a Lightning.
If you want the extra room the L doesn't have, then upgrade to a s/c'd Harley truck.
Besides, if you did everything you could do to your Screw to get as close to a Lightning in power and performance as possible, you might find it would have just been cheaper to get a Lightning or HD.

I'm catless. Straight midpipe from the headers to the cats. When I had to have the truck smogged, and I swapped those straight pipes out for the factory catted midpipes, I picked up gobs of torque. I couldn't believe how much faster my truck was. But I couldn't yank 'em off fast enough, even though it meant losing power.
