I can almost see the light!
Some of you guys may remember the horsetrailer I had in front of my shop...no sides, no roof, no lights, no floor, etc...well, I need a trailer for tomorrow, the neighbor was going to let me use his, but the insides are pretty beat up, bearnigs needed repacking, etc...almost as much work as it would take to complete mine....so, wednesday afternoon I decided to get busy.
Got the roof on, floors in, bearings repacked, decent set of Craigslist tires mounted and balanced, put the sides on and got it wired up for just tail lights and brake lights, got the doors put on.
Only causalty was my big toe, I was mounting the rear door and it slid off the jack...got about 80 pounds smashing into my foot...I know the toe is broken (bloody as all get out too), but need to keep pressing on and get the windows put in and weld on the safety chain.
Originally I wated to sandblast this hole thing and pait he up nice and pretty...but I'll settle for functional now.
Oh well, a few more hours of work and I'll be finished.

Ouch! Broken toe is no fun. Remind me sometime to tell the story about how I was running full out down the railroad right of way fell off an 1100# quarterhorse, swung around the neck, and ended up with me staring up, his (Tim's) right hoof on my left upper arm, and his left hoof stabbing around looking for solid footing while jabbing at my right rib cage.
I had an impressive bruise on my left upper arm that clearly showed the frog. Oh, I was in high school at the time and had to play football that same evening!

That's sounds a lot more painful then my foot.
But the trailer did get done "enough" and made it up and back to Stockton...I gotta do some modifying though and turn it into a regular tandem axle trailer.
But the kid did great on the old mare, 2 first places, one second place, three thirds and a fifth.
It was the first time the horse was in a show in 6 years, and the old gal did awsome.
