Talking I just figured i would introduce myself

My names Josh and im 16 years i purchased my first truck 2 years ago it was a yellow 1954 f-100 and for the past year ive been working at a body shop to learn the trade so i could fix my truck, then a couple weeks ago i started on it and it turned out it was alot worse then i thought somone had fixxed it up to get it off their hands, were talking bondo half an inch thick. So then one of my co-workers told me about their buddy who had a 1952 f1 body for sale so i bought it and i plan to fix it and put a cummins diesel in it.

Welcome to FTE Josh. I'm glad to see more folks interested in swapping diesel engines into the old effies, I'm swapping a Mercedes turbo diesel into my 53.

Welcome to the Forum, Josh! These folks are great for a word of encouragement or some good advice when needed. Sounds like you'll have some words of your own to contribute, too.

Howdy from Montana! I'll be interested too, in hearing about the Cummins swap. Awesome engine! I run one in a 97 D 3/4 ton and love it. I'm half tempted to look for one to put in my 48 F6 grain truck.

Just keep in mind most of us are old/ancient, don't do text messaging and prefer capitalization and punctuation in this forum. Use too much of it and you might get a whack across the shins with our canes. The 80-86 forum is hardly readable some days.

That said, it's good to have some new and younger blood here to keep these trucks going in the future. Keep us informed and take lots of pictures. The tech details of the install and any major hurdles you encounter will be a big help to others trying the same thing.

Welcome to FTE.
I'm not as knowledgeable on the newer Trucks like your's but I still try and help if I can.
Oh, that includes harassment when required or if I feel like it.

Here's another hello and welcome to FTE. It's definitely one of the friendliest gear head forums on the web.
