how to do home "cool" air intake?
I have 1996 5.0 f150 xlt..so most everthing in the engine that would change anytihng about air intake is stock. So, I have no idea how to make one of these like I see in the pictures. It the black plastic ones that come out and make a wide rrectangle at the end

I challenge you to a internet duel!!! Touche!!! I made a simple one on my ranger, I just ran some dryer duct from the lower rad opening where air pressure is high and cold I ran the duct from there then down (so water would collect at the low point with a drain hole) then up to the area behind the head light about four inches from the stock intake air horn!! I put a piece of dump truck tarp(big screen basically, works good for radiator protector too wide open mesh with thick diameter material to resist rocks and bugs) It dumps some cold air right where it needs but since it isn't directly connected the road dirt sticks to the bottom of the hood mostly, I can see it is working because the amount of dirt that is sticking to the hood so that tells me high pressure air is going to that area!!
