Thank-you, Blackstock Ford!

Recently, I purchased the following through Jim Carson and his crew at Blackstock Ford for my 2004 FX4 SCrew:
  • MBRP dual rear exit exhaust system
  • FX2 grey bezel headlamps
  • taillight grills
  • window deflectors
  • stealth chrome signal light bulbs
  • Edge Evolution II
Jim was great about arranging shipment (which ended up being having the parts dropped off to my house for a modest fee, given that they already had someone in my area for a dealer trade or something).

So far, I've installed the headlamps, and the exhaust system. Both were pretty straightforward, although I think I spent way more time than I expected trying to get the exhaust system aligned just right. I will probably put the Evolution II in sometime in the next few days. I want to get the plastic trim piece colour-matched to the silver/grey strip of the dash to the left of the cluster. Also, I want to have the taillight grills colour-matched to the Dark Shadow Grey Metallic exterior before I install them. The window deflectors will be going on just as soon as I can find some time to clean the truck up.

Jim was great about answering my questions before I ordered, and then Blackstock provided amazing service after I ordered.

Again, thanks to Jim and crew at Blackstock. I'll definitely consider giving you my business again in the future!

Sincerely,

Sean

You're gonna like that Edge. Have you got any type of cold air set-up yet? What engine have you got in that truck anyways?

Hey, gang!

I also should have mentioned that the MBRP performance exhaust system sounds AWESOME! ...Just like Jim said it would.
I'm waiting for a call that my tires are in. Once they're installed along with the leveling kit, then I'll snap some pics and actually start my first gallery on FTE.

If you're interested in seeing my last toy, which I was coerced into selling by my lovely wife so that I could purchase this truck, check out my member's page over on the Super Coupe Club of Ontario at:

http://www.sccoa.com/member/index.php?uniquename=matteson

Actually, I haven't purchased a CAI for the truck yet. I'm still researching which kit to get. I've got a 2004 FX4 with the 5.4L V8.

I'll keep you all posted.

Cheers,

Sean

Do you have any other information on that CAI? Pardon my ignorance, but I haven't heard of AF1 as a manufacturer or model line.

Thanks in advance,

Sean

I've been able to find information about AEM's BruteForce CAI, and I've seen an AirRaid CAI, but I haven't been able to find anything about an Air Force One CAI.

By any chance, do you have a link to the manufacturer's website with information about this intake kit?

I'm sorry to be a PITA.

{EDIT} Nevermind... I found it. The link is:

{/EDIT}

Thanks,

Sean

Not that i want you leaving us here at FTE but f150online is where i used to hand-out and learned alot about them there. There is also a tuner guy troyerperformance that are really up to date with the f150's check them out and they can also get you a price on an AF1 I also was able to price it out at my local carparts dealer so maybe Jim can get you into one of them as well cause i think carparts got it thru the same supplier as Blackstock uses.

The truck is really starting to come together!

I got the new BFG All-Terrain T/A KO's in 305-65-18 installed on Saturday, along with the AutoSpring 2.5" leveling kit, and I absolutely love how the truck is looking now!!! ...Rides great too!

You wouldn't believe how many compliments I've received just since Saturday.

I'll try to get some pics up in a gallery here soon.

Thanks again for your contribution, Blackstock Ford!

Cheers,

Sean
