my inbox is swamped with the same question, how did i do my 10k, 14.7, 15.6k mod, so hopefully this will clear it up, here is a simple step by step with pics to do the 10k.
step 1: buy the materials shown, a- resistors, b- box of spade terminals, c- electrical tape
step 2 get the resistor out of the pack as shown here
step 3- fold each end over to make for a good crimp point as shown here
step 4- put 1 male spade on one end of resistor and one female spade on other end of resistor as shown here
step 6, wrap resistor in tape to prevent any shorts or excessive vibration.
no picture needed for that one
step 7, cut signal wire for icp. while looking at connector it would be the mouth
of the smily face as shown here
step8- strip each end of your wire and crimp one male spade to one end, crimp one female spade to the other end. this allows for swapping different size resistors or putting it back to stock with no other modification needed, no picture needed for this either
step 9- drop the resistor in place as shown here
the mod is done in less then 5 minutes, if you want to make a 14.7 or 15.6 mod then you simply crimp a 4.7k or 5.6k inline with the 10k and the time goes up to a total of 6 minutes, try it out and enjoy the boost in performace for a grand total of 5 dollars, each pack of resistors is .99, pack of terminals is 3.00 for the good ones
Very nice write-up ,,Tried to rep ya , but too soon ...Catch up on that later....

Thanks Joe. Rep points sent. I'll be heading to RadioShack very soon.
I think I'll subscribe to this one so I don't have to search for the photos and write-up later.

Just means you got a lotta rep points. Little atta boys. I think Tim needs more than he has. He has helped alot around here. I try to rep him as much as possible as well as you. Both of you are great assets here.
wow, i never realized i have 2.....what does that mean?
and as for the best mod, so far a 22k is too much and the 14.7 or 15.6 is the best choice
It means it about time....
