...... WELL NOT REALLY I DID IT WITH PAINT BUT THATS WHAT I THINK IT WILL LOOK LIKE I TRACED ALL THE BODY LINES AND TRIED TO FILL IN THE GAPS TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK
My guess is you will finally see it in January (N.A.I.A.S.). We are going to run over 100 through system in January. We ran two trucks through the sytem this week to see how many things still need to be tweeked before January and the launch in August. The hihg ups at Ford are happy (and suprised) that no one has got a shot yet out of camo.

Starting be like Chrysler where ever vehicle has the same grill. Not cool.
Thank goodness someone else has finally said it!!! Ive been in 3 arguements about this on here already. Cookie cutter mentallity. I know they say its a product recognition thing but how about a little originallity. Its not like someone won't know its a Ford going down the road with those gawdy oversized blue ovals. Bout the only things they sell without the big ugly 3 bar grill these days is the Mustang and the new Focus and thats just because there was only room for 2 bars. Did Ford drop the Crown Vic??? I don't see it on the website anymore.

I agree. Isn't that the same face as the ford edge crossover (ripped off of the nissan murano)???
Whatever happened to trucks that you knew were trucks (clean lines, and steel bumpers)? It almost looks ike they're trying to make the ford f150 into a crossover SUV, and why is the rear axle so far back??? it doesn't look right and increaces turn the radius!!
-End of rant (sorry)

you can get steel bumpers, painted or not depending on the trim level

????? The axel is in the same place as the current model.
This is a three bar grill on the edge....
This is a three bar grill on the Super Duty...
They do not look a like as some people have stated. Class is now over...Stop speculating about what the new truck will look like because most of you are wrong. In four short months you will all see it. Sorry about the rant but no one has seen this truck out of camo, so no one knows what it looks like.
(by the way, I am no one )

Agree 110% here. Small things like the grill and different chrome trim options can go a long way to letting people make a truck look the way they want. I have never liked the way you had to get a whole package with a lot of stuff you didn't want just to change these things, and removing options compleatly isn't making the situation any better IMHO.

I was reffereing to the artist sketch labelled "future truck".
But the fact remanes that after 1996, ford did move the rear axle further back on the f150s that had the 8' box bed (Yes, they are normally offset toward the rear on the longbox, but the offset was increaced in 1997). The shortbox trucks still look proper with the axle more or less centered along the length of the truck, but in my line of work, only an 8' box will do.
I wonder what the reasoning was to move the rear axle further back?

Standardizing (sp?, it's late) of the frame?
From what I have noticed, the frame comes in three sections (front, mid, and rear). The only section that seems to change with the wheelbase is the mid section (roughly from the front door to the end of the cab). Which would then mean all the trucks have the same front and rear. oh, and that "future" truck scetch is a bunch of B.S.
