They do not look alike as some people have stated. Class is now over...Stop speculating
about what the new truck will look like because most of you are wrong. In four short months you will all see it. Sorry about the rant but no one has seen this truck out of camo, so no one knows what it looks like.
(by the way, I am no one )
Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check out worldcarfans.com for spy photos. There are none there yet for the upcoming 2009 F150, but there are other upcoming Ford models (and everything else) shown. From what I've read of the new F150, the entire front clip has changed, and there are trim changes on the rest of the body.

it was said earlier by derek that everything from the dash forward has changed but from everything said in every forum post the 2009 f150 is still going to have the same crappy 5.4 in it. derek are you sure the everything from the dash forward is changing because to me that includes the engine. correct me if i am wrong. all the changes in the world to the 150 does not mean anything unless it has a diesel or boss engine line up.

Ford has stated that the 6.2 will be available on the F150 in early 2009.

6.2 will be a late option, followed by the diesel the year after..

5.4 will get a slight bump in power and 6 speed transmission..
4.6 and 6 speed from exploder
3.(5/7?) and 6 speed

somethin like that.

and i'm pretty sure derek saying everything dash forward changed was in reference to the body/styling?

Ford "exploder", I've heard that before, could some one please explain? Is this a veiled refference to the forestone tire recall and the explorers rollover tendancy?

It was intentional and just, as you say, a jab at the rollovers/firestone recall.

Some of the jobs we had tooling for, some did not (we had to do those things by hand) and some tooling just would not work at all on the truck. So now trades and engineers know what needs to be tweeked and where.
The parts are prototype parts so they cost a lot more and are in short supply.....you break, you buy
so are there any of those prototype V10 dohc heads and cams laying around that someone can pretend to have broken while i'll support the pay for em part?

I know you guys have em!
