Theres not much that I like about anything built past 1997, but I have to admit, that does look nice, its a real feast for the eyes....

Seems to have a lot in comon with the 08 SD.

Yeah, hopefully the 09' will be absolutely amazing both cosmetically and mechanically. Then I know what to start saving for.

I have one request involving interior, can we get a different center stack thats normal, because that one has way to many buttons.

Thats the "decked" out radio stack. The standard one is not so busy.

Whats the red button on the dash for??? Seen it on an econoline concept once too. Ejector seat? Nuke launcher? Master kill switch?

Oh, and I really like the steering wheel, thats the first steering wheel equiped with an air bag that actually looks right, and not just fat.

If that is "decked out" (obvious it is because it had EATC) then does that mean the console shifter option is gone? It was my understsanding that all Lariats (which this appears to be with wood grain trim) came with console shifter. Is this an incorrect assumption on current models? Or, maybe we have the Cheby thing going one. Upscale (Lairat) and super upscale (King Ranch, Harley, Limited) come with console shifter.

The lariats today can be had with or without the console shifter. Judging by the looks, this isn't the finished product, so they may be using just the center stack without the other portions of the interior correct. They test so many different variations and combinations it is unbelievable.

Could this be the stack for the "Platinum" edition?

The red button is a kill switch since this is a test mule. Kinda like an E-stop on machinery.

What I really want to know is what is the approval rating of the new F150 from the workers at Ford? What percentage of the guys who work on this truck think it will be a winner as far as looks, interior, and drivetrain are concerned? Obviously, they must be doing comparison tests to other trucks (namely the Tundra and Silverado). Hopefully it will have the build quality and attention to detail of the last few ford launches (fusion, edge, etc) because my 04 is certainly not perfect.

Why do you need twenty two inch wheels on a pickup truck? It looks Like A gangsta Rapper's beer wagon. I'm sorry....don't like what i'm seeing...

anyone have any comments on that?

Wow. I couldn't agree more!! Well said. Thats my biggest problem with the current F150 and this looks worse - hopefully it won't come to that since there aren't any official pics out yet. you' shouldn't need a friggin ladder to come out of the tailgate just for access to the bed.

As for the red button... isn't it a "if you get caught in the open this truck will self destruct in 5 minuntes button?"
