Question How much???

what would it take for one of are trucks to take a chipped 6.0? I have stage 1s and looking into 2s but my buddies 07 6.0 with a bullydog seems like it would eat mine up regardless of what i got. So what kind of numbers or mods will make it possible to beat his truck?

i would say that stage 2's, DP-Tuner, tranny upgrade(if auto), clutch upgrade(if manual), SD HPOP, and an intercooler would do a great job against a chipped 6.0, but i am not sure.

i agree, it depends on what kind of chipped 6.0 you are running here, if its just a chip installed then the above listed set-up shouldnt be too bad, if you are trying to out run one thats chipped, exhaust, injectored, geared intaked.....you get the idea.... i'm not sure of the end of a drag race, but run him in a road course and he's bound to break down and the 7.3 should drive right past him

you'd need to have a turbo upgrade along with good tunes, big fuel and oil to keep with a chipped 6.blow, IMO.

get an '04.5 or newer. PPE makes more power outta the '04.5 and newer trucks with just tuning. Meaning more power for half the cost of the earlier duramax mods recquired to make those HP levels. Good luck

Thanks Steve, that's about what I've discovered on the Dmax site. I'll be buying after the first of the year, hopefully.

I'd buy a duracrap over a cummapart anyday just cause the chevys are like our fords, they are built very well. None of these cracked dash syndrome, toasted front rotors at every 3k miles, no killer dowel pin disease, etc., I would love to own a duramax as well. One day.......

Yep, me too. A dodge is an expensive shipping crate for a cummings engine

Hey, My dash is cracked too, I hope I didn't park too close to a Dodge.
